During the meeting, areas of cooperation were identified, including geological and geophysical study of the shelf in the economic zone of the Republic of South Africa, partnership for the study of the International Seabed Area, possible joint expeditionary research and organization of internships for South African specialists on the basis of VNIIOkeangeologia.
